A blast from the past!

Made this a while back for a Baby Shower.  It's a little book that friends could write in on the day.  Made out of corrigated card, paper napkin, modelling paste, bees wax, mica powders my trusty melt pot for the bees wax and the little moulded heart! Along with a little butterfly from the local cake craft centre and all bound together with my little press machine.

Candy Box Crafts 2 of 2 completed

Well after morning coffee (very nice with some Brandy Cream) I did some stencilling using The poppy stencil and glossy black paste from Sweet Poppy Stencils on the drawer fronts and then Cinnamon Sparkle medium along with the poppy and dragon fly stencil from Imagination Crafts.  Then I stopped cos I know less is more and it is just perfect for my mica powders and paints.  Thank you to Candy Box Crafts Ltd xx

Got fed up waiting for paint to dry!

Hello everyone!  Hope you have all been busy.  While I was waiting for my stencilling to dry I thought I would do a bit of stamping with some Sheena Douglass stamps on a mouse mat from a certain shop where everything is a £1- you know that one! After I had done the base with acrylic and Bindex to hold I stamped the painted with luminarte silks.  Luckily the wrists have just about held out but now in need of strong pain killers!

Laying the foundations!

Today I have been doing a bit of "prep" work on one of the two items I was very fortunate to receive from the recent Candy Box Crafts competition!

Mini Gingerbread Houses In Progress

Wall hanging using Meltpot and handmade kumihimo cord

Gingerbread house due for demoltion

This was last years attempt at a gingerbread house which was a DISASTER stylewise but never the less tasted absolutely GORGEOUS.  I borrowed my big sister's mould from Lakeland Plastics.

Today I am going to attempt again using the small gingerbread mould (if mould still in stock at Lakeland Plastics in Norwich)
